UPDATES CHECK LIST

Some Promising Anticipated Thai Horror

Filed In: , , , , ,

Thailand is one of the active Asian countries in horror movie producing. In the first quarter of this year Thai already bring us one of their horrifying movies “Alone”. Here I get you the latest of the most anticipated Thai horror that soon will release to the market. These movies promoted with some amazing and interested poster with an attractive trailer too.

First is a movie with English title “Body”, its horrific story begin when Chon, a medical student, starts seeing a psychotherapist after he dreams about a woman who he had only met once in a restaurant. In his dreams, a mysterious man murders her, slices her body into pieces, and flushes them down a toilet one by one. The murderous dreams haunt him into his waking memory, and eventually he feels as if his own body is being dissected and carved up by the surgical knife. Slowly, the terrifying images take control of him. He comes to believe that the dead woman is sending him messages through these nightmares. But these are not messages for him, they are meant for her murderer. They speak of revenge, and say: "I am still here."
Here some of “Body” poste
rs and in its official site you can see the trailer in both Flash and hi-res Quicktime versions. I can say that the trailer is very attracting and scary as well, can’t wait to watch the whole film that scheduled to opens this October in Thailand.

Second is “Opapatika”, an action horror based on Thailand myth. The film revolves around a class of people gifted with supernatural powers, some who turn to good, some who turn to evil. The catch is that the powers are based in Thai or Buddhist understandings of karma - in other words, every time the Opopatika use their powers they exact some sort of direct toll on the user. According to Buddhist belief the evolution of birth can be divided into four seperate forms including: Sangsethaca: To be born amongst rot and decay, as a worm or maggot. Anthaca: To be born from an egg, in the various forms of birds. Chalaphucha: To be conceived in the womb as a human or other mammal. There is, however, another form of birth unknown to Buddhist beliefs. This form is known only as Opapatika. Opapatika are born fully formed as spirits, demons, angels, and some as humans.
A very fun story concept, if done right it has a great deal of promise. Here also some of “Opapatika” great poster and find its promising trailer on the official site. This movie will open in Thailand on October 23rd
Last but not least is “The Spiritual World”, another ghost story that revolves around a girl named Ming who’s able to see ghosts and contact to the dead since she was a little girl. It's been 15 years since she managed to escape from a mysterious ghost that kept following her. One day she meets a young doctor named Buut, who visits her for a purpose. ‘Buut’ knows that Ming can contact to the dead, so he wants her to find the reason behind the death of his father. While his father's death is reported as being suicide, he believes it was murder. The appearance of Buut brings back memories of the past, and now Ming must face a truth that is even more terrible. For now she is being stalked by a lost soul who is far more dangerous than any Ghost she has met so far. Spiritual official site offered some downloadable trailers which also look very interesting too and here is some good works on the movie poster section.
