Falls in Fairy STARDUST Tale
The fairy-tale of Stardust is following the journey of a young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox), who had lived peacefully inside the English village of Wall. The cobblestone barrier has surrounded the village for hundred of years, kept the inhabitants safely apart from the magic, mythical world that stir on the other side. But one day, Tristan made a promise to the prettiest girl in the village Victoria (Sienna Miller), that he will bring her the star that falls from the night sky in order to win the cold heart of the girl. But to do so, he must enter the mysterious and forbidden land outside the ancient barrier that borders their tiny village. When he begin his adventure deep into the forbidden heart of the fantastical realm known as Stormhold, Tristan finds the star, and discover that the fallen star is not the meteorite which he expected, but it has transformed into a beautiful young woman named Yvaine (Claire Danes), who’s injured by her cosmic tumble.

However, she’s in a terrible danger, cause not only Tristan who seeks for the fallen star, but the king of Stormhold’s (Peter O’Toole) four sons have pursued her either in order to use her cosmic power to secure the throne, and the evil witch Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer), who needs the star power to help her achieve eternal youth and beauty. Tristan must to overcome them, as he vows to protect the otherworldly visitor at all cost. In the battle to survive, together Tristan and Yvaine will explore the unexpected romance, high-flying adventure, and unbelievable encountering with a pirate named Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro), a shady trader named Ferdy the Fence (Ricky Gervais) and an enchanted unicorn along with other surprises. As Tristan changes his quest now, that he must win the heart of the star, he will also discover the secret to his own identity and a destiny beyond his wildest imaginings.

Stardust takes on the fairy tale fantasy that filled with the witches, magical spells, and pirates, it all adds up to a funny, romantic tale of true love and high adventure. All of the action scenes are played out wonderfully and the comedy is stretch out through the movie making it funny without being corny. The cinematography is outstanding and the locations used for the feature are so beautiful and spectacular. It looks like the art section is keep the faithful to the appearance that Charles Vess has gave to the novel.

The cast performances are also outstanding, Claire Danes shines throughout the film as the fallen star, and she will makes you love her in her portrayal of the trusting naïve Yvaine, Michelle Pfeiffer is simply steals the show with the role of the witch queen Larnia, she delivers a stellar over the top performance as a villain, Charlie Cox is also incredibly portrays Tristan’s emotional state, that will make you immediately begin to like him, and Robert De Niro as the pirate captain Shakespeare, you can see that in every scene that he is in hand down he would steals the show. The spirit of the novel is translated very well by Matthew Vaughn, it can’t have been easy to adapt something like this for a mainstream audience and having to cut bits out, re-arrange stuff and add new bits. The ending is also more exciting and dramatic than the book
